LiquidAudio.org – is an audio community built to be the place to go when it comes to discovering new artists. The design was built to add even more fun to music listening and at the same time, promote the artists that people really like. We have tried to include every feature possible without making the site cluttered and hard to use. The basic concept of the site is to get as many points as you can and win as many prizes as you can. Our goal is to become the largest online community of artists and listeners.. ever!
Contests:
Our contests were developed as a generic contest system. This means that we can do any type of contest possible without having to reprogram the site. Each contest will have its own rules and prizes. You can only win first prize once per company. This means if a company posts a contest, you can only win first prize from them 1 time, giving others an opportunity to win.
Artists:
An artist can sign up for free and upload 2 songs. They can upgrade their account for $20/year and uploaded unlimited music.
Profiles:
Each member can customize their profile. There are options to input your bio, news, blogs, shows, sell music, upload images, change color schemes, and more.
Points:
Each member receives points for listening to music weather you are an artist or a listener. Artists receive points when people listen to their music. Points are used to determine a member’s rank and the winners of contests.
Rank:
Rank is determined by how many points per day you get.
Charts:
Our charts have many search features. You can search artists, listeners, record labels, and tracks. You can filter by genre, new members, and search term.
Bulletins:
When you post a bulletin, all of your friends will be able to see it from their profile. The cool thing about our bulletins is that they are visible from the backend of your profile and from the front end.
Comments:
Our comment system allows people to leave reviews or just say hi! You can also setup your account so that you receive text messages to your phone when someone leaves a comment on your site.
Internal Messaging:
We have an internal messaging system that allows you to send a message to anyone on LiquidAudio without having to clutter your email. Our messaging system allows you to send messages to all of your artists friends, listener friends, or all friends in bulk. You can also view all of your sent messages and check to see who has read them.
Our Music Player:
Our music player shows pops out external to the web site so you can continue to listen to music while browsing the site looking for artists. It also has a community chat room and shows you who is currently online. It also comes equipped with a listening queue.
The Listening Queue:
You can add an artist to your queue from just about anywhere on the site. Your queue will always remain exactly how you want it over any period of time. This way you can fill it up with all of the artists you want to listen to, and possibly listen to them later.
Members Top 10 Lists:
Every member on the site has their own top 10 list. This allows you to rank your favorite artists. If you have an artist in your top 10 list for more than 7 days, you get double points for listening to them and the artist gets double points when you listen. Every night bonus points are awarded to artists for bing ranked in people’s top 10 lists.
Number 1 Fans:
Listeners get bonus points every night for being an artist’s number 1 fan. The listener who listens to an artist the most becomes their number 1 fan. A listener can be the number 1 fan of multiple artists.
