Two great amp companies are Tone King and Swart Amps. These two companies have been making amps for years. In saying that, Tone King isn’t one of the bigger companies out there. It’s certainly not as well known as, say, Matchless Amps; however, every Tone King is hand-built by Mark Bartel, the company’s designer. And because of this you are guaranteed an amp that sounds great as it hasn’t been mass produced. Therefore you will realize that all Tone King Amps will be out of this world. These amps bring you the sounds of the 1950s and 60s, and they all look like vintage amps, too.

One other fantastic amp company is Swart Amplifiers. Founded by Michael Swart, the company prides itself on creating amps that feature both great tone and distortion while still being incredibly flexible. Their first amp, the Space Tone, works just about anywhere—venues, studios, and for practicing . Regrettably though, this amp is no longer available to buy. Nevertheless, there is an updated version available. It features a different cabinet, but it still provides all the great distortion and tone that you need. Of course, the company produces many other amps, including the AST Tweed and the Atomic Space Tone.
